The highest award presented each year at our annual Rohr Car Show is the coveted Edgar and Walser Rohr Cup. The award is named in honor of one of the Bull Run Region’s founding members and two-time AACA National President, Edgar Rohr (1963-64) The award is presented by their son, Chip who uses a criteria that he believes his father would use if he was still with us: The car should to be a pre-war example with a history of touring or a long family history of ownership amongst others things. Using this criteria, he selected this year’s most worthy recipient – Mr. Robert “Bob” Drake from Manassas, Virginia with his 1930 Model A. Bob, a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam era, has been a member of the Bull Run Region for almost two years. The Model A was previously owned by his brother who lived in Texas and recently passed away from cancer after his exposure to Agent Orange during his time in Vietnam. Bob says he has vivid memories of him and his brother working on the car together. The car was subsequently passed on to Bob who brought it back to Virginia where he has been working on it with his son.
